Remote Access, Accessing your LAN

Many solutions are available to allow you to access your corporate workstation or corporate LAN from your mobile PC. This allows you to have access to any of the files you would normally have if you were sitting at your desk. To prevent malicious access, these solutions provide a secure means of retrieving and manipulating sensitive corporate data. To run most remote access applications, Windows 95 requires no additional configuration. Below are some links to information on remote access products.

Remote Control

Remote Control allows you to dial into your LAN or desktop PC and act as if you were working at the terminal. It allows you to have complete control so you can perform file transfers, system maintenance, or even run your PC's applications. Remote Control saves dial-up bandwidth because it runs applications on the remote computer instead of conducting transactions over the dial-up link. Remote control applications require no special configuration other than standard modem configuration(link) and come with an installer. Below are some links to information on remote control products.
